Material selection
The first step involves preparing the individual components for your rooftop tent. These so-called semi-finished products (= raw materials) are carefully inspected before further processing.

Roof Space stands for more than just innovative rooftop tents. We believe in sustainable practices, fair production, and responsible materials.

We are passionate about our products – because we developed them ourselves and have personally experienced their performance. This makes our enthusiasm genuine, contagious, and palpable. We are proud to be pioneers in our field and are driven to constantly improve, develop new ideas and ask challenging questions. In doing so, we deliberately leave our comfort zone and set ourselves ambitious goals.

We love and respect our planet and its limited resources, and therefore we take care to minimize the strain on our ecosystem. That is precisely why sustainability and longevity are also crucial factors when we make decisions about products and processes. If you want to know more about why we chose our materials, check out our Tech Deep Dive!

At the same time, we are aware of our social responsibility in our society. We carefully select our partners because we place great value on trusting relationships. We invest for the long term, cultivate stable partnerships, and ensure safe and fair working conditions. We are not perfect, but we challenge ourselves to make the world a little better, step by step.

Quality is not just a buzzword for us. We have high standards for ourselves and our products, which is why we develop and test them ourselves. This allows us to honestly say that we've thought through every detail. We also love good design. For us, that means combining function with aesthetics. We create products that are both reliable and sophisticated.

Our ethos: no dissatisfied customers. That's why we treat our customers honestly, openly, and as equals – just as we are. We listen actively and provide advice tailored to individual needs. We take feedback seriously and use it to develop products that not only work, but inspire.
Here you can learn how our products are manufactured.
Because we have our own production (i.e., we don't buy from other manufacturers), we can accurately track what happens, how, where, and when.
Find out how your roof space is created!
The first step involves preparing the individual components for your rooftop tent. These so-called semi-finished products (= raw materials) are carefully inspected before further processing.

Next, your suitcase will be built. Our specially developed suitcase profiles made of 6061 T6 aluminum are precisely CNC machined and joined together using a laser welding process.
This is followed by a two-layer, weather-resistant coating.

Now it's time to work on the tent fabric. Patterns are prepared and sewn, zippers are inserted, individual parts are finished, and all seams are welded.

Assembly is about to begin – but before it starts, all individual parts will first be checked for quality. Nothing can proceed without approval.
Once all components have been checked, your roof tent is fully assembled. The box profile is glued in place, attachments are screwed on, and the tent fabric is pulled in.
Here your tent also receives its individual serial number and thus its own test report.

After assembly, each tent must pass a 15-point inspection, and we also conduct random rain chamber tests for each batch.
If the tent passes quality control, it is packaged securely for transport and sent to our headquarters in Bremen.

Once it arrives in Bremen, it will be checked again, assigned to you, and then shipped.

Once it arrives, you can start assembling it right away! You'll find instructions in your user manual and on our YouTube channel.
For the initial setup, we have prepared orientation stickers on the suitcase so that it works immediately.
